Cheers to 50 Years!

During 2024, Candor has celebrated fifty years of serving the Chicagoland community! We will be wrapping up our yearlong celebration with our Dancing Through the Decades event at which we will reminisce about all the wonderful things that Candor has done over the last fifty years. This is a huge celebration and accomplishment for so many reasons.

PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT Navigating Middle School Years | |

Navigating Middle School Years is a unique Candor program that allows students to explore common middle school situations, ideally, before faced with the experience themselves. This scenario-based program will take students along as our 8 grade characters reflect on situations they experienced in middle school and what they learned from them. | |

Tammi Tannura Health Educator | |
Tammi has worked in community health for over 25 years mostly in the areas of sexuality education and substance abuse prevention. She has taught in schools, universities, correctional facilities, after-school programs, and drug treatment centers. Tammi has a Bachelor of Science in School Health Education from Western Illinois University and a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in community health from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. She has published teaching ideas in peer-reviewed journals, presented at state and national conferences, and is a lifetime member of Eta Sigma Gamma, the National Health Science Honorary. In her free time, Tammi enjoys outings with her family, working on jigsaw puzzles and reading. | | | |
